After an enormous stretch of madness for what seems like the last two years, I feel I have reached a calm oasis for the moment. Many projects have born fruit and I feel I am reaching a new point in my life. My dad is settled in his new life which took a great deal of patience and hardwork to organise, but all is well. It's amazing to see the lovely new house and see him happy in his independent environment again. The bairns running around his feet.
The Folk festival is by with for this year, and it's the quiet time of year before we start again. The festival was outstanding this year, and we worked like trojans the whole time. What I love as much as anything is the family feel of the team I work with, like minded, we all pull and haul, we all respect each other and we know when to let things run off us. We all have to vent but it's not personal. One of our committe members got married this weekend, and it was a wonderful wedding and we all went to celebrate with Kiki and we had the best day out.
The bairns are doing well, but it's the last weeks of nursery for Hansen before he goes to school, and that's my littlest one away then. The oldest Luc is in his last weeks on primary and moving onto Secondary so he has a new phase starting for him too. And what will I do after August...lets wait and see...no hurry me thinks. I have looked after my kids at home for 12 years , never had childminders, so its time for a look at life and what we dare do with it!
Much crafting and gardening is going on in my quiet phase. No major new things in the garden, but it's all getting tidied, the raised beds are planted up with lettuce, peas, leeks, onions, and herbs again. I have a whole lot of new geraniums in the sunporch and its looking good. The house is in a phase of maintenance and refurb, after being on hold for two years as we attended to dads needs. So time for us now. Oh and there's a few new additions to the family in the shape of goldfish, which has caused great excitment among us all.
Looking forward tothe summer holidaya and praying for a fine summer. We do ahve a family holiday away in August to Centreparcs, so we eventually bit the bullet after hanging off for the last few years. So a few pounds poorer but we hope it will be worth it to see the boys having such an active holiday. I know before I blink it will be Autumn, so best not spend any longer on here, and way back to constructive pursuits.
